Grants for American Women Entrepreneurs

Grant funding helps spur progress in gaining parity and further strengthens the evolving role of women entrepreneurs in our overall society. Awards, Fellowships, and Internships for Women Entrepreneurs
- $75,000 awards/$35,000 fellowships/$25,000 grants to researchers to advance dermatology studies and for career development. Priority consideration will be for applications addressing health issues impacting minority groups, including sexual gender/LGBTQ+ and racial minorities, as well as underserved or disadvantaged populations.
- Also, internships for women to learn nonprofit management skills in arts organizations. Interns will acquire experience working with operations staff at an established arts nonprofit in New York. Duties and projects will include: marketing initiatives, public relations, writing assignments, fundraising, event planning, and arts administration. In addition to a monthly cash stipend, the program will provide participants with accommodations on campus at the funding source’s location in Rosendale, New York.
- In addition, fellowships of $10,000 to women for costs for a Ph.D. or doctoral degree. Funding focus areas will include aerospace engineering and space sciences. Funds will be for tuition, supplies, equipment, books, fees, and living expenses.
- Grants of up to $20,000 to women to pursue advanced degrees and courses of study. Funding is to benefit women seeking to re-enter the workforce, pursue professional advancement, or change their profession. Eligible fields of study include social sciences, education, health, medical sciences, and STEM.
- There are grants of up to $10,000 to nonprofits, individuals, funding source branches and affiliates, and universities to promote equity and expand educational opportunities for women. Funding will be for a range of expenses.
Grants, Training Programs, and Projects for Women Entrepreneurs
- Also, grants to women for educational training programs. Funding supports women who provide the primary financial support for their families while pursuing vocational or skills training programs or undergraduate degrees. Funds will be for tuition, books, transportation, and childcare.
- Grants of up to $50,000 to Indigenous women-led nonprofits for community projects addressing gender-based oppression and violence. Funding supports a range of initiatives to promote gender and social justice, support women’s leadership and healing, and prevent gender oppression.
- Grants to women and minority-owned small businesses to develop marketing reach through Internet commerce projects. The purpose of this program is to help local businesses grow jobs and revenue through the enhancement or creation of e-Commerce Sites.
- There are grants up to $15,000 to female composers to support career advancement and the creation of new operatic works. Grant funds will be for workshops, readings, musical materials, production design, promotional materials, and other expenses.
- Lastly, grants of up to $7,500 to grassroots nonprofits for programs and projects to improve the status of women. The purpose of the program is to support projects that amplify women’s voices and enhance their economic security.
Business and Nonprofit Grants for Women Entrepreneurs
- To begin, grants up to $500 and in-kind support to women entrepreneurs to enhance business or organizational development. Funding supports the improvement, expansion, and strengthening of organizations and businesses that impact families, girls, and women.
- Next up, women and minority business owners may apply for a grant to participate in an educational program. It is valued at $10,000 and is designed to facilitate business growth and success. Participants will learn how to win contracts, how to identify and target profitable projects, and how to invest in a marketing program appropriate for the business owner’s industry.
- This micro-grant ranging from $100 to $500 is for women entrepreneurs for business development. Funding allows businesses to improve, expand, increase, and strengthen.
- Women and minority-owned small businesses, apply for this grant to develop your marketing reach through Internet commerce projects. The program helps local businesses grow jobs and revenue through the enhancement or creation of e-Commerce Sites.
- Woman entrepreneurs shut out of government loans and other funding may apply for grants up to $1,000 to mitigate financial losses due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding is for entrepreneurs in all industries, shut out of other funding.
