Blinn College, a junior college in Brenham, Texas has received a grant for them to provide student aid.

Everyone’s been struck by COVID-19, especially people who were already in a precarious situation financially. Students who may have already been experiencing financial hardship pre-pandemic may have found themselves in an even more precarious position. And with all learning moved online, this may have led to students working on campus or work-study programs to have experienced disruption, furthering their hardship. Giving student aid may help these students. Some colleges and universities have worked to award small grants to students who need them to help these students get through the pandemic.

The Texas Higher Education Foundation is a foundation with the aim to: “foster and further evidence-based initiatives that positively impact postsecondary outcomes in Texas.” In addition, Blinn College was granted partnerships with Greater Texas Foundation and Trellis Foundation.
