3 Quality of Life Grants This ‘Make Life Beautiful Day’!

So, we write about a lot of serious topics here at GrantNews. Critical medical research, literacy, affordable housing, and food insecurity, just to name a few. We’ve spoken about how grants help to fund many initiatives and programs that provide critical resources and support. While this is vital, it’s also fun to talk about holidays that no one knows about — but they exist! Today is Make Life Beautiful Day. This honestly is, a great name for a holiday.

While we’re here to talk about making life beautiful, I also thought I’d share some grants that help with social good. These grants help improve the quality of life for communities, making life more beautiful for many people.

Make Life Beautiful Day Is Today! Let’s Talk About How

So obviously, this isn’t the type of official holiday where school is canceled or you get the day off work. But even though this holiday was started by a beauty company and isn’t on a general holiday calendar, that doesn’t mean we can’t learn from it. In fact, we could all do more to contribute to making life better for more people.

Here’s a few things you could do:

1. Volunteer for a local organization that helps the community.
2. Donate to an organization that’s doing good works.
3. Call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while.
4. Do an act of kindness for someone you know that needs it.
5. Visit your friends, neighbors, or relatives.

These are just a few ideas for how you could make life a little more beautiful for someone else –today and any other day.
But, for organizations focused on making life better, grant funds could help with their important initiatives.

Here’s a Few Grants That Can Help

So, I’ve found four grants for you to check out that work on helping to improving quality of life for more people.

Let’s start with Colorado:

1. Here’s a grant we have listed for Colorado nonprofits to assist local underprivileged children and youth. Grants of up to $10,000 are available for programs in eligible areas that are focused on improving life for local children.

Next, we can move over to Minnesota & Wisconsin:

2. Here we have grants in eligible areas of Minnesota and Wisconsin to go towards improving quality of life for local residents. These grants of up to $10,000 are available to fund quality of life initiatives in these areas:

Now, let’s shift over to the “sunshine state” where it rains all summer, every single day: Florida.

3. This final grant is for Florida nonprofits and eligible areas for arts and cultural programs. These grants of up to $6,000 will go to organizational initiatives that focus on:

  • Local quality of life
