These Childcare Grants are Now Accepting Applications

3. Up to $3,000 is available to Minnesota childcare programs for expenditures related to compliance with licensing and health and safety requirements. This grant is open to programs that will soon become licensed, have recently become licensed, are expanding, or are new and exempt from licensing.

U.S. Childcare Grants

1. Scholarships of up to $1,000 per semester are now accepting applications. However, this funding is only open to Vermont childcare providers and licensed staff members to attend relevant college courses.

2. Nonprofit organizations, daycare centers, faith-based organizations, community groups, and schools in the City of Detroit may be eligible for funding. Applicant organizations must be not-for-profit organizations, except for daycare centers. This grant is to help children get a good start in life from before birth to age 4.

3. In-kind donations are open to U.S nonprofit organizations, churches, and newly developed organizations to directly benefit children. This program is to improve the quality of children’s lives by providing toys to those in need. Priority will be given to applicants serving children between the ages of 3 and 12.

Canadian Childcare Grants

1. British Columbia nonprofit and for-profit child care centers can apply for grants. This funding is to create new child care spaces or to reduce facility energy costs through improved efficiency. However, applicants must demonstrate well-developed projects that have broad community support, a building location, an operating plan, an experienced operator, and funding from other sources.

2. Up to $50,000 is available to Vancouver nonprofit organizations to establish new or expand existing school-age child care programs. This grant will primarily support capital expenses, including physical improvements, installations, equipment, and furniture.

3. And lastly, Newfoundland and Labrador family child care centers can apply for childcare subsidize rates. This funding is to make child care more affordable for families with young children.
