Top 10 Grants for Veterans

There’s little doubt that, given what military veterans do and have done to keep their respective countries safe, the least we can do is find grants on GrantWatch for veterans, either live or in commemoration. Here are 10 strong choices:

1) Grants to U.S. nonprofit organizations in multiple states for programs providing shelter, hunger relief and assistance for the nation’s current and former military personnel. Deadline: 9/10/21.

2) Grants of $500 and $1,000 to Tennessee veterans for post-secondary education expenses. Funding is intended to assist veterans who were honorably discharged as well as former or current members of the Tennessee National Guard. Deadline: 9/1/21.

6) Grants from $5,000 to $25,000 and grants ranging from $25,000 to $75,000 to Canada registered charities for the provision of mental health servies to military veterans, currently serving military members and military families. Deadline: 8/13/21.

7) Grants of up to $30,000 to Arizona nonprofit organizations, schools, faith-based organizations, tribal entities and government agencies for programs that benefit local children and military personnel. Deadline: 7/31/21.

8) Grants to Kansas and Missouri nonprofit organizations to benefit the community in eligible locations. Focus areas include military families, children and education. Eligible uses of funds include programs, capital expenses and supplies. Deadline 10/1/21.

9) Grants of up to $1,000 to U.S. qualifying military veterans and military spouses to cover unexpected expenses. Funding is intended to allow veterans and their spouses to complete postsecondary education programs and succeed in a competitive job market. Deadline: 12/31/21.

10) Grants to U.S. first responders, military personnel and veterans with disabilities for sports and fitness programs that enhance their physical and mental health. Deadline: Ongoing.
