Many organizations, nonprofits, schools and government agencies among others use grants to fund critical projects. Whether it&#8217;s housing, food insecurity or other societal issues, grants can be invaluable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s why we enjoy putting together these lists of grants at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GrantWatch<\/a> that can benefit our readers and subscribers. It&#8217;s also why this list will focus on a population that we don&#8217;t talk nearly enough about: Seniors. They&#8217;re also labeled the elderly. However you want to classify them, older people tend to have more health issues. More initiatives that focus on helping them when it comes to quality of life overall are welcomed. It&#8217;s also why there are grants available for seniors to help fund these projects\/initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefiting Our Aging Population<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope that this list of five grants in different places throughout the U.S. will be helpful to our readers. If you have any suggestions for future lists, leave a comment and let us know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. When we think of helping seniors we don&#8217;t often think about art. But there is evidence in Tennessee that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americareinfo.com\/8-benefits-of-art-therapy-for-seniors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">art can help everyone, including seniors<\/a>. Here we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/181983\/grants-to-tennessee-nonprofits-and-agencies-for-arts-programming-that-enriches-the-lives-of-seniors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grants for nonprofits and agencies for arts&#8217;s programming that enriches the lives of seniors<\/a>. This program is meant to encourage seniors to actively participate in the arts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. While many states are getting back to normal, we are still in the middle of a global pandemic. That&#8217;s why we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/163830\/grants-to-massachusetts-nonprofits-schools-agencies-and-healthcare-providers-in-eligible-counties-to-benefit-residents-during-the-coronavirus.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grants for Massachusetts nonprofits, schools, agencies and healthcare providers to benefit residents during the coronavirus<\/a>. These $5,000 grants are to be used towards programs that address food insecurity and senior health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. These grants are specifically for programs in Hobart, Indiana. We have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/159184\/grants-to-indiana-nonprofits-agencies-schools-and-faith-based-organizations-to-improve-the-quality-of-life-for-local-seniors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grants available for nonprofits, agencies, schools and faith-based organizations to improve the quality of life for senior citizens<\/a>. These $25,000 grants are intended to go towards programs that better the lives of seniors in Hobart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. There are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/196268\/grants-to-new-mexico-nonprofits-and-agencies-to-construct-housing-for-older-adults.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grants for New Mexico nonprofits and agencies to construct housing for older adults<\/a>. These houses built in a pre-designated are will provide housing for low and moderate income families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Grants of up to $15,000 to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/194073\/grants-to-ohio-nursing-homes-assisted-living-facilities-adult-day-centers-and-substance-abuse-treatment-providers-for-support-during-the-coronavirus-crisis.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ohio businesses for support during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis<\/a>. Funding is intended to help nursing homes, assisted living facilities, substance use disorder residential treatment providers, and adult day centers with expenses related to evaluating, inspecting, improving, and maintaining indoor air-conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems to control the spread of the virus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don&#8217;t see your state on this list, check back soon.
