The two sectors are both key assets. Not only do they boost revenue, but they also are responsible for the creation of many jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\"\/><meta charset=\"utf-8\"\/>The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has celebrated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unwto.org\/world-tourism-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">World Tourism Day<\/a> every year on Sept. 27 since 1980. The organization chose this date because it is the anniversary of when the UNWTO adopted its statutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the International Monetary Fund, travel and tourism accounted for 10 percent of the global GDP in 2019 and more than 320 million jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The financial institution also notes that in 2019, there were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imf.org\/external\/pubs\/ft\/fandd\/2020\/12\/impact-of-the-pandemic-on-tourism-behsudi.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1.5 billion people traveling <\/a>around the world. However, after the pandemic, travel and tourism took a major hit. INF does not expect tourism to recover to 2019 levels worldwide until 2023. For this reason, it is even more crucial to funding programs that support tourism in different areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grants are a good opportunity for communities to get the funding they need. With this additional funding, these places will be able to plan events and other activities that bring more visitors. These grants below offer funding for a variety of projects including hosting artists from around the world and planning sporting events that stimulate the economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporting Tourism with These Seven Grants<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Grants of up to $5,000 to Maryland nonprofits and agencies to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/175010\/grants-to-maryland-nonprofits-and-agencies-for-historical-tourism-initiatives-in-eligible-counties.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">implement historical tourism projects<\/a> in eligible counties. Funding is to support innovative events, tours, exhibits, and programs, and to improve existing tourism products<\/li><li>There are grants to New Hampshire organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/196634\/grants-to-new-hampshire-organizations-to-enhance-tourism-within-the-state.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to enhance tourism<\/a> within the state. Funding is to increase the number of tourists and their length of stay, and build an image of New Hampshire as a vacation destination throughout the year.<\/li><li>Grants of up to $45,000 to Florida organizations in eligible locations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/182062\/grants-to-florida-organizations-to-increase-tourism-in-eligible-locations.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to increase tourism<\/a>. Grants will support new or one-time events that have the potential to become recurring, can generate a significant tourism return for Miami Beach.<\/li><li>There are grants to Georgia organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/160730\/grants-to-georgia-organizations-to-promote-local-sporting-events.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to host sporting events<\/a> that stimulate the economy and encourage tourism in eligible locations.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Grants to Nevada organizations in eligible locations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/180849\/grants-to-nevada-organizations-to-promote-local-tourist-attractions-and-events.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to promote and advertise local tourism opportunities<\/a>.<\/li><li>Funding of up to $75,000 to Canada nonprofit arts organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/177918\/grants-to-canada-nonprofits-to-facilitate-tours-by-international-artists-and-traveling-exhibitions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to host touring artists and exhibitions<\/a> from around the world.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Grants to Alberta organizations, individuals, groups, and community entities <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/151894\/grants-to-alberta-organizations-groups-and-individuals-for-community-events-in-eligible-regions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer
