August is National Back to School Month. To celebrate, GrantWatch<\/a> is shining the spotlight on 10 education grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beginning of the school year brings a lot of excitement for students, parents, and teachers about what is to come. However, the expense of going back to school can put a damper on the whole process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that learning has returned to the classroom, many families are struggling to afford school supplies. Teachers are having to spend their own money to buy classroom supplies, and many schools are also in need of funding to improve resources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nonetheless, the quality of education shouldn’t be impacted by lack of funding. With this in mind, we hope your school or home can benefit from the latest grants we have found! These grants provide a variety of resources for children including school supplies, technology, and internet access, as well as funding for education programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10 Grants for Schools in the USA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/strong>\u00a0Grants of $500 are now open to USA educators for classroom projects and lessons related to aviation<\/a><\/strong>. Eligible applicants are private, charter, and public school K-12 teachers, homeschooling cooperatives, and STEM coordinators.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. In-kind grants of technology items<\/a><\/strong>, valued at $500, are now accepting applications from nonprofits, schools, and education-related organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. In-kind donations of computer equipment<\/a><\/strong> are also available to PreK-12 schools and educational nonprofit organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Grants are available for projects that promote social justice<\/a><\/strong> at the classroom, school, or district level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. In-kind grants of essential school supplies<\/a><\/strong>, are now open to teachers in underserved schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. In-kind grants are accepting applications from public and private schools to improve access to healthy and nutritious food<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for high schools and nonprofit youth programs, to promote the sport of football <\/a><\/strong>among youth across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Scholarships<\/a><\/strong> of $2,500 are open to USA high school students in their senior year, to explore various disciplines related to blogging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. In-kind grants are currently available to school districts, parents, and guardians to provide qualifying K-12 students with internet access and software<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Opportunities are still open to full-time public and public charter school educators, (including counselors, librarians, nurses, and therapists) to obtain funding for classroom projects<\/a><\/strong> that benefit students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, grants can also be found for preschools<\/a>, elementary schools<\/a>, high schools<\/a>, and post-secondary education<\/a> (IHEs). There is also a category designated just for teachers<\/a> to help avoid out-of-pocket costs for their classrooms. While funding is available for schools, it is unfortunate that only a fraction of faculty applies for grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schooling helps children to gain important skills, knowledge, and values, which sets them up for further learning and participation in their community.
