This annual campaign, which was started by Americans for the Arts, is meant to be a time to celebrate the arts and the crucial role they play in society. During this month, we encourage our readers to take the time to appreciate the humanities and the beauty of art in its many forms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National Arts and Humanities month was established in 1993. The event launched more than 30 years ago as&nbsp;National Arts Week in honor of the 20th anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. However, in 1993, the event was changed to a month-long celebration. The main goals of the month are to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create equal access to the arts<\/li><li>Encourage people to participate in the arts<\/li><li>Allow the government and businesses to show their appreciation for the arts<\/li><li>Raise public awareness about the arts<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GrantWatch.com<\/a> lists many grants on its site for artists, as well as organizations focused on the arts.
