Many nonprofits, as well as state, local, and federal agencies, offer programs to help victims of domestic violence and prevent further violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victims of domestic violence can experience mental health, substance abuse, housing, and employment challenges as a result of their situation.   2. 1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner.<\/li>
  3. Almost every day, domestic violence hotlines receive more than 20,000 phone calls nationwide.<\/li>
  4. 1 in 7 women and 1 in 18 men have been stalked by an intimate partner during their lifetime.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you or someone you know is facing abuse, you can call or text (text START) the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233. <\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    10 Grants To Help Prevent Domestic Violence <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    1. Grants are available to USA nonprofit coalitions to support victims<\/a> of domestic violence. <\/li>
    2. Funding is available to promote awareness of domestic violence, dating violence, and family violence, and to provide supportive services<\/a> to victims. <\/li>
    3. In addition, grants of up to $1,000 are available to nonprofit shelters that provide housing<\/a> for victims of domestic violence and their pets.<\/li>
    4. Grants of up to $60,000 are available to domestic violence and animal organizations to ensure accommodations<\/a> for pets of domestic violence survivors.<\/li>
    5. Additionally, grants are available to nonprofits and IHEs for projects addressing national issues in the field of women’s safety<\/a>. <\/li>
    6. Funding is available to improve services <\/a>for families that have experienced domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault, or child sexual abuse.<\/li>
    7. Grants are also open to increase the availability of legal services<\/a> for individuals who have been affected by gender-based violence<\/li>
    8. There are opportunities for USA domestic violence shelters<\/a> in eligible states to receive gifts for child residents.<\/li>
    9. California nonprofit organizations can apply for grants to provide legal services<\/a> to survivors of relationship violence.<\/li>
    10. Financial assistance is also available to Wisconsin residents fleeing domestic violenc<\/a>e in eligible locations to defray rent costs  <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
