Whether it&#8217;s eligible low-income students in schools maintaining access to free or reduced-cost meals, families suffering as a result of income and employment concerns, or famine affecting multiple nations or even entire continents, improving nutrition and food security is a never-ending task. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help with this,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> GrantWatch<\/a> has put together a list of the top nutrition grants for nonprofits and organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.feedingamerica.org\/hunger-in-america\/food-insecurity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than 34 million people&nbsp;<\/a>suffer from food insecurity, including 9 million children. Food banks, soup kitchens and other food assistance organizations have been stepping up to help address this issue in any way they can.&nbsp;However, additional work is still necessary for this area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Grants that Promote Healthy Eating and Help Fight Food Insecurity<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>First, there are grants for projects to promote a <a href=\"https:\/\/grantwatch.com\/grant\/193570\/grants-to-usa-canada-and-international-nonprofits-and-individuals-to-promote-a-plant-based-diet-and-lifestyle.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plant-based diet and lifestyle.<\/a> <\/li><li>There are also grants available for programs to <a href=\"https:\/\/grantwatch.com\/grant\/186710\/grants-to-usa-nonprofits-for-programs-that-reduce-childhood-hunger.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reduce childhood hunger.<\/a><\/li><li>Funding is available to encourage nutritious eating and <a href=\"https:\/\/grantwatch.com\/grant\/192847\/grants-to-usa-nonprofits-to-promote-nutritious-eating-and-reduce-food-insecurity.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reduce food insecurity<\/a>.<\/li><li>In addition, grants are open to <a href=\"https:\/\/grantwatch.com\/grant\/207118\/grants-to-usa-nonprofits-schools-and-veterans-organizations-to-address-food-insecurity-through-gardening-projects.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">increase food security <\/a>through gardening projects.<\/li><li>Opportunities are available to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/200027\/opportunity-for-usa-nonprofits-and-faith-based-organizations-to-receive-donated-food-and-other-essential-items-to-distribute-within-the-community.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">receive donated food <\/a>and other items to distribute within the community. <\/li><li>Grants of <a href=\"https:\/\/grantwatch.com\/grant\/175694\/grants-to-usa-nonprofits-for-programs-related-to-human-rights-the-environment-and-nutrition.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">up to $50,000 <\/a>are open to nonprofits for projects to promote food access.\u00a0<\/li><li>Cooperative agreements are also available to provide assistance related to <a href=\"https:\/\/grantwatch.com\/grant\/208173\/cooperative-agreements-to-usa-nonprofits-agencies-and-tribal-entities-to-provide-assistance-related-to-a-nutrition-based-grant-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nutrition-based programs<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li><li>In-kind grants are available to <a href=\"https:\/\/grantwatch.com\/grant\/180511\/in-kind-grants-to-usa-schools-to-improve-access-to-healthy-food.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">public and private schools<\/a> to improve access to healthy and nutritious food.\u00a0<\/li><li>Finally, grants of up to $10,000 are available to promote<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/181465\/grants-to-usa-nonprofits-in-multiple-states-to-promote-healthy-eating-and-nutrition-education.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> healthy eating and nutrition <\/a>for children. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GrantNews Notes<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking for more grants like these?
