Memorial Day is celebrated every year on the last Monday of May. This year, Memorial Day takes place on May 29th, 2023. It is a day to remember America’s fallen heroes and honor the memory of those who have died fighting for our freedom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GrantWatch has many grants for veterans. Listed below are 10 of these grants. To commemorate Memorial Day, GrantWatch is offering a 5% rebate this week to all veterans, active military personnel and veterans’ service organizations. This rebate is for a $199 annual subscription to the GrantWatch website purchased between May 23 and May 29, 2023, as a token of gratitude for their service. Fallen soldiers have been honored in some form since Civil War times. However, Memorial Day only became an official federal holiday through an act of Congress in 1971. One of the best ways to help veterans is by funding organizations that help provide supplemental services. Grants can do this by providing emergency funding for veterans, as well as funding for organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10 Veterans Grants for Memorial Day 2023<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
  1. Grants are available to U.S. military veterans for financial support<\/a> upon returning from deployment overseas. The purpose of funding is to ease the transition from military service to civilian life and prevent veterans from entering the poverty cycle.<\/li>
  2. This grant will cover airfare expenses<\/a> for injured, ill or wounded service members, veterans and their loved ones.<\/li>
  3. In addition, grants are open to military service members and veterans for urgent financial assistance<\/a>.<\/li>
  4. In-kind grants of specially adapted custom housing<\/a> are also available for veterans to accommodate severe injuries as a result of their service to the country.<\/li>
  5. There is funding for families <\/a>of military veterans who were injured or died while serving their country. The purpose is to mitigate financial hardship associated with the loss of a parent or spouse.<\/li>
  6. Additionally, grants are open to first responders, military personnel and veterans with disabilities for fitness programs <\/a>that enhance physical & mental health.<\/li>
  7. There are grants to nonprofits to improve the lives of injured veterans<\/a> and their families. Funding is to support a range of services and programs including therapeutic and recreational activities, career training and education, rehabilitation programs, shelters for the homeless and the supply of mobility items.<\/li>
  8. Grants are available to U.S. and Puerto Rico nonprofits for construction projects that benefit homeless veterans<\/a> in eligible locations.<\/li>
  9. There are also grants available to U.S. nonprofits to assist military veterans<\/a> seeking careers in the food and agricultural sector.<\/li>
  10. Finally, there are grants for U.S. nonprofits to provide services to support the medical needs<\/a> of veterans.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
