Today, I wish all our subscribers and my dear husband a very Happy Father’s Day. It’s a day to acknowledge and appreciate the influential men in our lives. There are many men who have taken to the role, embracing fatherhood with love and dedication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, I had contemplated skipping this holiday as my own father<\/a> has passed away. However, when I see my husband’s smile after one of our children called him to wish him a Happy Father’s Day, I realize that I cannot let my grief overshadow the celebration of fatherhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s take this opportunity to celebrate the men who have become positive influences for us and our children, as well as our grandchildren. Through my own journey as a parent, I have learned that the most precious gift we can give our children is our time. Regardless of age, children need someone to listen, to be available, to care, and to provide support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allow me to share with you that the GrantWatch On The Road<\/a> series of videos were all filmed by my husband, Jake. He is the rock that supports me in everything I do, as well as our children. His unwavering presence and encouragement have been instrumental in our family’s journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History of Father’s Day in the U.S.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Historically, Father’s Day traces back to the first known celebration in the United States. It took place in Spokane, Washington, on June 19, 1910. Sonora Smart Dodd, inspired by the popularity of Mother’s Day, initiated this celebration to honor her father – William Jackson Smart<\/a>. As a Civil War veteran and a single parent, Smart raised six children, while exemplifying the importance of fathers in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, Dodd proposed June 5th, her father’s birthday, as the date for Father’s Day. However, due to time constraints, the celebration was postponed to the third Sunday in June. The idea garnered support, and on June 19, 1910, the first Father’s Day was celebrated with church services and a gathering to honor fathers in Spokane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although it took several decades for Father’s Day to become an officially recognized national holiday in the United States, its popularity steadily grew. In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers, designating the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. Finally, in 1972, President Richard Nixon signed a law that made Father’s Day a permanent national holiday in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, on Father’s Day we recognize, celebrate and express gratitude and appreciation for fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and other father figures who play significant roles in our lives. It is a time to honor their immeasurable contributions, boundless love, as well as unwavering support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, on this special day, I want to spell out “Father’s Day” by sharing heartfelt sentiments in each sentence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F<\/strong>or all the love and guidance you’ve provided, Dad, I am truly grateful.

H<\/strong>eartfelt thanks to the best father in the world for your endless patience and understanding.
E<\/strong>xpressing my gratitude for the countless sacrifices you’ve made for our family.
