One important document is called Form 1023 or Form 1023-EZ<\/strong><\/a>. Submit your application electronically at Pay.gov<\/a>, along with your user fee. Be meticulous. Any incomplete or incorrect information will result in a rejection. What Should You do After You are Approved?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Once you are approved and you\u2019ve received your favorable determination letter, you need to keep it safe.  File it with your nonprofit\u2019s records so you can protect it but still keep it handy. Since determination letters are publicly accessible, they need to be readily available for inspection by donors and grantors.
