What Are Examples of In-Kind Support? <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For a school, in-kind support might be a contribution of a bank of gently used computers when a company decides to upgrade its system. For youth athletic teams, it might be a donation of sports equipment or uniforms. In-kind support is not only for nonprofits but helps individuals and businesses as well. Grants for In-Kind Support<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  5. Funding of $2,000 and in-kind support are open to schools to participate in a rocketry competition<\/a><\/strong>. This support will help initiate a program to build, design, and launch model rockets.<\/li>
  6. In-kind grants of electronic gift cards <\/a><\/strong>valued at up to $500 are available for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and accredited schools. <\/li>
  7. Grants of up to $5,000 and in-kind donations to nonprofits, groups, and businesses to conserve, protect, and restore wildlife habitats<\/a> <\/strong>in ponds, rivers, swamps, wetlands, and streams. <\/li>
  8. Nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and public entities can also apply to receive property<\/a><\/strong> no longer needed by the federal government.<\/li>
  9. Matching grants of up to $75,000 and in-kind services to nonprofits in multiple states to reduce utility expenses<\/a><\/strong>. Funding is for upgrading facilities and operations, lowering costs, and increasing the efficiency of resources for nonprofits.<\/li>
  10. Lastly, grants and in-kind donations to nonprofits to support music programming<\/strong><\/a> in schools and communities. Funding is for applicants working to improve access to music education.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    In-kind grants signal an investment in a nonprofit. Rather than a financial commitment, this person or business has committed to helping the nonprofit succeed by donating goods and services.
