To that end, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GrantWatch<\/a><\/strong> has put together a list of more than 800 grants in the<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/cat\/29\/research-and-evaluation-grants.html\/9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Research and Evaluation<\/a><\/strong> category that are currently up for grabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Clinical Research is Important to Healthcare<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Clinical healthcare research is all about diving into the world of health and sickness in real people. It&#8217;s a kind of guide for understanding how to prevent, detect, and cure illnesses. Indeed, healthcare research bridges the gap between scientific discovery and new effective treatments that can make a real difference in the lives of patients. In a nutshell, healthcare research is science in action, with real folks at the heart of it, working to make healthcare better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In brief, the list below is a sample of the many funding opportunities you have to choose from. We hope you find the research grant that will best suit the objective you&#8217;re looking to achieve!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"benefits-of-women-owned-small-businesses\"><strong>Research Grants and In-kind Support<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>First, there is funding for universities and nonprofit research organizations for<strong> <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/185823\/grants-to-north-carolina-ihes-and-nonprofit-research-organizations-for-life-sciences-and-technology-inventions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">life sciences and technology<\/a><\/strong> inventions with commercial potential.<\/li><li>Next, fellowships to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/207143\/fellowships-to-usa-canada-and-international-individuals-to-address-inequality-in-relation-to-technological-advances.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">historically marginalized individuals<\/a><\/strong> to address inequality in relation to technology.<\/li><li>In addition, there are grants to eligible nonprofits for a broad base of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/176223\/grants-to-usa-nonprofits-in-multiple-states-for-education-human-services-healthcare-and-medical-research.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>health and wellness initiatives<\/strong><\/a>. Focus area for healthcare includes prevention and behavioral health and lifestyle management projects to prevent and reverse cardiac disease.<\/li><li>Grants and in-kind support to investigators affiliated with institutions for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/193676\/grants-and-in-kind-support-to-usa-researchers-for-new-projects-related-to-emergency-medicine.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Emergency Medicine research<\/strong><\/a> projects. Funding supports early stage projects to promote emergency medical care and produce results leading to a larger project. Funds to be used for materials and supplies, and to provide salary support.<\/li><li>There are also grants to eligible nonprofits to conduct applied research projects having direct and immediate impact to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/192501\/grants-to-usa-nonprofits-for-research-projects-to-enhance-the-well-being-of-older-adults.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>enhance the well-being<\/strong><\/a> of older adults, ages 65 and older.<\/li><li>Also, there are grants to postdoctoral researchers for research related to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/173042\/grants-to-usa-canada-and-international-postdoctoral-researchers-to-investigate-the-diagnosis-and-treatment-of-autism.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>diagnosis\/treatment of ASD<\/strong><\/a> (autism spectrum disorders). Program purpose is to invest in the upcoming generation of autism investigators. Moreover, programs will identify talented early-career scientists interested in autism research and facilitate their transition to independent research careers. In fact, applications are to be received from a wide range of science disciplines, including genetics, molecular mechanisms, circuits and systems, and clinical science.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional Research Grants and Awards<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Grants of $3,000 are available to Michigan students pursuing eligible advanced degrees for projects to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/188889\/grants-to-michigan-students-pursuing-advanced-degrees-for-projects-that-improve-health-care.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">improve health care<\/a><\/strong> throughout the state.<\/li><li>There are also grants to early-career researchers affiliated with medical and research centers for research projects focused on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/186086\/grants-to-usa-early-career-investigators-for-research-on-bipolar-disorder-and-schizophrenia.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>bipolar disorder and schizophrenia<\/strong><\/a>. Funding is for clinical, preclinical, epidemiological, and translational research.<\/li><li>Grants of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/176906\/grants-to-usa-and-canada-nonprofits-and-institutions-for-projects-to-benefit-individuals-affected-by-spinal-cord-injury-and-disease.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>up to $75,000<\/strong><\/a> to nonprofits, institutions, and associations for projects to benefit and serve individuals affected by spinal cord diseases and injuries, including veterans. Funding is for projects to provide broad-based educational opportunities. Priority projects include those with the potential to replicate proposals and provide effective dissemination plans.<\/li><li>Finally, grants of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/176962\/grants-and-an-award-to-usa-canada-and-international-organizations-for-breast-cancer-patient-care-and-education.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>up to $5,000<\/strong><\/a> to organizations and individuals for activities that advance breast cancer patient care and education. In addition, an award of $1,000 to a practicing breast surgeon to attend a conference.
