After attempting to navigate new digital platforms the user will sometimes give up. Subsequently, they never locate the information they need. These mishaps can snowball into further setbacks. All in all, the ability to navigate this terrain is digital literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lost In A Tech-Savvy World<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Digital literacy affects many communities. Adults who lack experience with computers experience setbacks such as a decrease in mental health due to isolation and frustration, becoming subject to scams, the risk of unemployment, and more. Family safety is another concern, underaged youth are at risk as well. Furthermore, aging adults are experiencing the move to electronic health platforms, oftentimes leaving them without the medical care they need. Also, immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities are often impacted by their skills. Furthermore, dangerous scams and predators target those who are not tech-savvy. To conclude, that is why there are community outreach programs available to those who need them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Final Thoughts on Digital Literacy<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>So, how do we, as a society, overcome the fear of technology\u2014or rather the fear of our lack of technological savvy? Well, there are a few suggestions like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keeping an open mind and a level head. Don\u2019t let yourself become overwhelmed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask for help. It\u2019s far worse to flounder and worry than to reach out and get friendly advice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch the Video.
