  3. \u00a0Effective Democracy Grant<\/a><\/strong> – Grants of up to $50,000 for initiatives related to effective democracy, sustainable agriculture, and Jewish life. For democracy projects, the focus is national. The geographic emphasis for programs serving the Jewish community is the City of San Francisco. Proposals in the field of sustainable agriculture will be accepted<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Gardening Projects Grant<\/a><\/strong> – Grants to public gardens for planting and gardening projects in eligible regions. Funds may be used to establish or maintain a public garden, to purchase plants, or to purchase or rent gardening equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
