Recently, St. Luke&#8217;s Episcopal Foundation awarded over $100,000 to various nonprofits to help in this aim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of these grants are meant for the recipient organizations. These funds have been awarded either from &#8220;Fund B or Fund C&#8221; and for different purposes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s how the numbers add up: Fund B recipients: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/stjohns-salisbury.org\/senior-seasons\/\">St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church, Salisbury: Bethlehem Senior Memory Care Training Program<\/a>: located in the West Bank Palestinian Territories, will receive a $5,000 grant. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/explorersclubkenya\/\">The Explorer\u2019s Club of Kenya<\/a>: This program led by Alberto Borges, a college student at Catawaba College, will receive an $11,180 grant. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/greatnonprofits.org\/org\/guatemalan-relief-assistance-for-childrens-educational-services\">GRACES\u201d Guatemalan Relief Assistance for Children\u2019s Educational Services<\/a> located in Salisbury, North Carolina will receive a grant of $12,000 to provide food vouchers and supplementary education to the Escuela Integrada in Antigua, Guatemala<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fwww.thelunchproject.org%2f&amp;c=E,1,MvGgN-pCfXelCFRcByisReRGFjvhhLscAq50Kg-oFvAX33cCbut8vfoWTK3wQZeKlOdIt07bIDWJVArnLPLwZjeXhYSbdoPFiWmbCTF_ImmnpfZ4&amp;typo=1\">The Lunch Project<\/a> in Charlotte, NC (who will use the funds to feed Lengiajave Primary School in Tanzania and support community members) will receive a grant of $17,000. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/stjohns-salisbury.org\/outreach\/global-ministries\/\">Sudan Rowan, an economic coalition<\/a> that partners with Sudanese partners which supports scholarships for students in South Sudan, will receive a grant in the amount of 7800. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stlukesdurham.org\/\">St. Luke\u2019s Episcopal Church in Durham, North Carolina<\/a>, will receive a grant in the number of $6,000 grant funds to support <a href=\"https:\/\/linkprotect.cudasvc.com\/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fwww.holycrossbelize.org%2f&amp;c=E,1,9SaiZ4uaXQW-yQFl4JS6sa_ZvvgKQAQbyJLoDPGPDYKuF_7H3grnivfSlU0SKjK08ah-qS8icBUPlGnr9TQ-ZMMdl13tJ0nqc6xtS6siYd69taMkoVXDtKx4JtA,&amp;typo=1\">Holy Cross Anglican School<\/a> in San Pedro, Belize. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grantnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/funding.jpg\" alt=\"Fund\" class=\"wp-image-5294\" width=\"750\" height=\"518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grantnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/funding.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grantnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/funding-300x207.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grantnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/funding-768x531.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grantnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/funding-392x272.jpg 392w, https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grantnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/funding-130x90.jpg 130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the grants in Fund B are meant to serve a global impact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the grant awards for recipients of Fund C: All of these recipients are domestic organizations engaged in community work mostly located in Rowan County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcliteracy.org\/\">The Rowan Literary Council<\/a> will receive a $2500 grant <\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/rowan.communitiesinschools.org\/\">Communities in Schools<\/a>, Rowan Chapter will receive a $1600 grant  <\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rowanhelpingministries.org\/programsandservices\">Food For Thought<\/a> (a program under Rowan Helping Ministries) will receive a $4,000 grant <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/racialequityrowan\/\">Racial Equity Rowan<\/a> will receive a grant in the amount of $4,000 grant <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the grant funding that will be allocated through these two funds, St. Luke has also re-pledged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.episcopalrelief.org\/stories\/one-thousand-days-of-love-a-fathers-story\/?utm_source=Episcopal+Relief+%26+Development+Stories&amp;utm_campaign=bccb107329-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_11_15_05_03&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_46765c2503-bccb107329-448479241\">Episcopal Relief and Development\u2019s \u201c1000 Days of Love\u201d campaign<\/a> with a grant in the amount of $20,000. The organization uses its funds to support struggling children and families through their first 1000 days of life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rowan Helping Ministries has received a gift of $10,000 which they will put towards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/cat\/56\/coronavirus-covid-grants.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">COVID-19<\/a> relief funds for the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total these funds equal out to $101,080.00 for this cycle. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are so many important projects over the world that require funding to help people who are incredibly vulnerable.
