A growing list of brands, corporations, and retailers are pledging financial support to social justice causes by making contributions to relevant nonprofit organizations and businesses to advance the cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social Justice Million-dollar donors.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The following list showcases those companies that donated or pledged one million dollars or more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Amazon gave $10 million that will be spread across the ACLU Foundation, Brennan Center for Justice, Equal Justice Initiative, Lawyers\u2019 Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, NAACP, National Bar Association, National Museum of African American History and Culture, National Urban League, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, United Negro College Fund, and Year Up.<\/li>
  2. Bad Robots’ production company pledged $10 million over the next five years to organizations with “anti-racist agendas that close the gaps, lift the poor, and build a just America for all.”<\/li>
  3. Bank Of America pledged $1 billion over four years of additional support to help local communities address economic and racial inequality accelerated by the global coronavirus pandemic.<\/li>
  4. Cisco said it will donate $5 million to Equal Justice Initiatives and Black Lives Matter.<\/li>
  5. DoorDash is donating $1 million. The money will be split evenly between Black Lives Matter and the creation of a fund for nonprofits that will be directed by black employees at DoorDash.<\/li>
  6. Etsy donated $1 million to be evenly divided between Equal Justice Initiative and Borealis Philanthropy\u2019s Black-led Movement Fund.<\/li>
  7. Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg pledged to donate $10 million to organizations campaigning for racial justice.<\/li>
  8. Fashion Nova, the e-commerce apparel site pledged $1 million to organizations including Black Lives Matter, NAACP Legal Defense, and Educational Fund, and Know Your Rights Camp.<\/li>
  9. Google plans on donating $12 million to fund organizations addressing racial inequities. <\/li>
  10. Home Depot is contributing $1 million to the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.<\/li>
  11. Intel pledged $1 million to organizations that address social justice <\/a>and racism. <\/li>
  12. Lego will donate $4 million to \u201corganizations dedicated to supporting black children and educating all children about racial equality<\/em>.\u201d<\/li>
  13. Reed Hastings, CEO Netflix\u2019s, committed $1 million to Nonprofit organization Policy Equity<\/strong>. This nonprofit’s mission is to empower communities to hold law enforcement accountable. <\/li>
  14. Nike, in conjunction with Converse, will commit $40 million to support the black community over the next four years. According to a statement from the company, “The funds will be targeted for supporting and investing in groups and organizations that put social justice, education, and addressing racial inequality in America at the center of their work<\/em>.”<\/li>
  15. Proctor and Gamble (P&G) is<\/g> advancing the leadership commitment of CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion by launching Take on Race: Advancing Racial Equity Together<\/strong><\/em>. The initial contribution of $5 million will go towards “strategic action steps to help achieve racial equity in America and to foster corporate collaboration to deliver programs that improve access and opportunity for people of color<\/em>“.   16. Sephora donated over $1 million to organizations including National CARE, Center for Urban Families, NAACP,  The National Black Justice Coalition, and The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation Black Women\u2019s Roundtable.<\/li>
  17. Tik Tok pledged of $4 million to be split among nonprofits fighting the racial injustice and inequality.<\/li>
  18. Insurance company United HealthGroup will donate $10 million and 25,000 volunteer hours to help Twin Cities neighborhoods affected by the riots including a $5 million donation to the YMCA Equity Innovation Center of Excellence<\/a>.<\/li>
  19. Verizon committed $10 million to The National Urban League, the NAACP, National Action Network, Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights, Rainbow Push Coalition, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.<\/li>
  20. Walt Disney<\/a> Company pledged to donate $5 million in support of nonprofit organizations, beginning with a $2 million donation to the NAACP.<\/li>
  21. Commercial real estate company WeWork pledge $2 million in business grants<\/a> for black-owned WeWork member businesses. <\/li>
  22. Warby Parker, online prescription glasses retailer is pledging $1 million to organizations and initiatives focused on combating systemic racism.<\/li>
  23. YouTube pledged $1 million \u201cin support of efforts to address social injustice<\/em>.”<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
