There are many ways you can get involved and make a difference in your community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Educate yourself about the seriousness of domestic violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wear purple, the official color for the month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talk to your kids about healthy relationships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize a drive to collect clothes, toiletries, and paper goods for a local shelter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Host a guest speaker to discuss domestic violence in your community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AVDA&#8217;s Mission to Aid Domestic Abuse Survivors in Palm Beach County<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Good news from a recent <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/how-your-donations-help-avda-support-victims-of-domestic-abuse-victims-survivors-donation-west-palm-beach-palm-beach-county-florida-october-30-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">12 News<\/a><\/strong> article: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.avdaonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AVDA<\/a><\/strong> (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse), a Palm Beach County nonprofit, is running a campaign to raise $40,000 by November 15 to match a pledge from an anonymous donor. The organization provides critical services to domestic abuse survivors, including a 24\/7 hotline and an emergency shelter for victims, housing 263 individuals, including children. AVDA&#8217;s programs not only support survivors but also work to prevent abuse through community education.
