The first commercial estrogen replacement therapy was created in the 1930s. By 1966, estrogen therapy became a popular way to prevent aging-related decline. However, in\u00a02002, the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) Study<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0raised concerns about HRT\u2019s risks, linking it to an increased risk of breast cancer, stroke, and heart disease. Because of this, there was a sharp decline in use. We now know that menopause is a gradual process. There are three stages: perimenopause, menopause, and post menopause.     Grants to Georgia nonprofits for human service programs that address vital community concerns, particularly those of underserved populations.
