And for energy workers in Midland, there may be an opportunity to continue their education and upgrade their skills, to ensure further career development for energy workers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Erin Van Evera-Welch, PPDC director spoke on this grant being awarded: “During this time of industry need, the Midland College PPDC continues to strive to assist oil and gas professionals to achieve their training and learning needs in order to be successful industry associates. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Van Evera-Welch continued: <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are delighted that the Dawson Geophysical Scholarship Fund, a component fund of the Permian Basin Area Foundation, is a proactive partner with the PPDC to work with the PPDC to seek out and fill the need of continuing education for our Permian Basin industry professionals.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The center currently offers several different courses in things like business, finance, engineering, land, geoscience, wellsite & drilling operations, and energy industry-specific software. <\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the PPDC, the mission of the center is to: “The mission of the PPDC is to provide quality continuing education designed to keep oil and gas industry professionals current in their areas of expertise through dynamic interaction between the community, the college, and the industry.
