The GrantWatch team<\/strong> is showing educators our appreciation with Awards for Teachers<\/strong>. It’s not surprising to hear students complain about a strict teacher they have. Years later, it’s normal for that same student to speak fondly of their former strict teacher, expressing their admiration and saying, “If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today!” Being a teacher is a hard – yet rewarding – career. They are tasked with the critical role of ensuring children have the proper educational foundation to be truly productive contributors to society. These unsung heroes don’t always get the recognition they deserve, so it’s great to see that there is grant funding available to help show how much they are honored and cherished!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GrantWatch<\/strong><\/a> recognizes the outstanding contributions made by teachers in higher education by providing a current list of awards for higher education-level teachers. Additionally, GrantWatch has over 1,200 grants in its Higher Education<\/strong><\/a> grant listing category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards and Research Grants for Teachers in Higher Education<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
1. Awards for Mastery in Marketing Education!<\/strong><\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Awards up to $500 to instructors to recognize mastery in marketing education. Eligible educators will demonstrate teaching excellence, innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and successful teaching activities, practices, and\/or strategies. This contest is open to marketing educators worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Award for Important Math Education Contributions<\/strong>!<\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

There is an award of $1,000 to a mathematician or group of mathematicians to recognize significant contributions to Math Education. Nominations will include a description of noteworthy contributions to Math teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Award for Exceptional Journalism Education Contributions!<\/strong><\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

In addition, an award of $500 to a university or college educator to recognize exceptional contributions to journalism education. This award program honors a higher education teacher who is an example to other educators of teaching excellence in journalism and mass communication history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Awards for Promoting Diversity in STEM Learning!<\/strong><\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Awards to individuals for promoting diversity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields. The program recognizes mentors of underrepresented students who have earned PhDs in a STEM field at an IHE. This includes Black, Hispanic, Native American, women, and individuals with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Awards Recognizing Exceptional Teaching Commitment!<\/strong><\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

There are awards of $75,000 to undergraduate chemical science faculty to recognize scholarly research and exceptional commitment to teaching. Awards provide an unrestricted research grant to early-career, full-time, tenure-track professors in the chemical sciences, including chemistry, biochemistry, materials chemistry, and chemical engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Award for Computer Science or Engineering!<\/strong><\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, an award to a professor of computing education at an undergraduate IHE for excellence in teaching. Priority consideration is for anyone with ten years or less experience. Evaluations focus on the quality of a candidate’s work, the innovative nature of the work, and its overall impact on computing education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Note<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
