Charlie Baker Announces Another Round of Small Business Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It&#8217;s been a tough time for small businesses all over the country, and so many have been shuttered. Many governments have had to figure out solutions to help small business owners survive. Many of these governments have opened small business grant programs in their states. So many have had to hold several rounds of programming to ensure proper funding. In Massachusetts, Gov. Charlie Baker recently announced the fifth round of grant allocation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the beginning of these funding rounds, $227 million in funding was awarded to over 5,800 businesses across the state. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mass.gov\/person\/karyn-polito-lieutenant-governor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mass.gov\/person\/mike-kennealy-housing-and-economic-development-secretary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Mike Kennealy<\/a> accompanied the governor. Small business owner Raquel Mullaney and other local officials in Plymouth also were present at the announcement. This fifth round of grant awards would include $45.3 million in new grants which will go to 1,100 small businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Making small business grants available to entrepreneurs is especially important during the pandemic we are currently experiencing. Many small and medium-sized businesses have seen unforeseen expenses especially restaurants and other eating establishments. That&#8217;s why we are so proud to host these. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Here are some small business grant programs that might help: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/178681\/grants-to-florida-artists-in-eligible-areas-for-artistic-and-career-development.html\">A grant for Artists for artistic &amp; career development<\/a>: This grant is for Artists in Florida looking to improve their career. <br \/><br \/><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/194302\/grants-to-iowa-nonprofits-businesses-and-consortiums-to-increase-access-to-child-care.html\">A grant for Iowa businesses looking to increases access to childcare<\/a>: with the cost of childcare so high all over the country this could be especially helpful. <br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Lastly,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantwatch.com\/grant\/194389\/grants-to-california-small-businesses-in-eligible-locations-for-support-during-the-coronavirus-health-crisis.html\"> a grant for California small businesses<\/a> impacted by the pandemic to apply for financial support: California&#8217;s lockdowns have caused many small businesses to close or limit operations. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>GrantWatch has these and other small businesses grants listed on our website for customers and subscribers to search for.
