Autism Play Tools (APT) is an innovative, AI-powered app designed to streamline the process of developing and managing individualized treatment plans for children on the autism spectrum. The app automates several key aspects of therapy, making it easier for BCBAs, RBTs, and even parents to provide consistent, high-quality care.
Here’s how APT works:
1. Automated Plan of Care Creation: APT generates detailed, audit-ready Plans of Care (POCs) by analyzing assessment data—whether it comes from existing POCs or direct and indirect assessments completed by the BCBA and fed into the app. This ensures the treatment plan is built around each child's specific needs.
2. Goal Development: The app then creates functionally appropriate goals and targets based on the assessment data, ensuring they align with the client’s unique developmental and sensory requirements.
3. AI-Powered Compliance Auditing & Scoring: APT audits and scores each POC, identifying areas where the plan falls short of predetermined audit levels. Our scoring method has been developed against industry metrics and requirements, and the AI continuously suggests improvements until the POC reaches a minimum score of 85%. This iterative process allows BCBAs to self-score and adjust their POCs without the need for direct supervision, significantly reducing the risk of insurance denials or compliance issues. The AI will continue to rescore the plan and provide feedback until the BCBA is satisfied with the output, ensuring that all plans meet or exceed audit-level standards.
4. Activity Generation: One of the most valuable features of APT is its ability to generate personalized activities tailored to the child’s needs, taking into account sensory and environmental factors. The app provides specific activities that can be implemented throughout the day, relieving RBTs of the burden of figuring out what to do during sessions, while maintaining treatment fidelity.
5. Balanced Calendar Creation: APT can also generate a calendar that balances Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Training (NET), giving RBTs a structured but flexible schedule to follow, ensuring a comprehensive approach.
6. Motivation and Reinforcement Tracking: The app tracks motivators and reinforcement opportunities in real-time, directly related to the activities and targets. This helps maintain progress and ensures the treatment plan stays aligned with the child’s evolving needs.
7. Reporting and Supervision: APT’s robust reporting function tracks client progress, activity completion, and RBT performance. This gives BCBAs detailed insights into both the child’s progress and the RBT’s effectiveness, allowing for data-driven supervision and adjustments as needed.
The magic of APT lies in its activity generation feature. It uses AI to assess the child’s profile—based on four environmental categories—and generates functionally and developmentally appropriate activities. These activities can
