Beacon State Fund
The Beacon State Fund was set up to engage in activities that educate and improve civic participation of Texas citizens by promoting community leadership and volunteerism; by fostering reading and literacy; and by holding one or more conferences annually and periodic seminars or gatherings to discuss, teach, encourage, recognize, or otherwise promote community leadership, volunteerism, reading, and literacy; and to recognize outstanding dedication and contributions to these goals by all Texans, especially by women and particularly women in the public sector.
