THE JOSEPH JAMES MORELLI LEGACY FOUNDATION (THE FOUNDATION) IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION FORMED ON AUGUST 20, 2018, WITH ITS MISSION TO HONOR JOSEPHS SPIRIT. THROUGH THE AWARDING OF SCHOLARSHIPS, THE FOUNDATION RECOGNIZES STUDENTS, WHO LIKE JOSEPH STRUGGLE WITH DYSLEXIA, AND EMPOWER THEM TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH DYSLEXIA WHO WISH TO PURSUE A DEGREE IN A SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING OR MATHEMATICS (STEM) FIELD. THE FOUNDATION ALSO BEGAN A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IN 2020, WHICH USES A PEER-TO-PEER MENTORING STRATEGY AND AIMS TO ENHANCE THE FOUNDATIONS MISSION AND HAVE A LASTING IMPACT ON SELECTED DYSLEXIC STUDENTS.
