The Foundation 4 Orphans (F4O) mission is this: We lift communities by serving orphans. The Foundation 4 Orphans is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to end the orphan pandemic globally. Currently there are 150 million orphans globally and 16,500 children die daily from the effects of extreme poverty: most of these children are orphans. We serve the educational, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of these children. We work primarily in Mozambique through the United Methodist Church and governmental leaders. They identify locations where we construct Homes for Children (orphanages) and partner with the Mozambique Orphan Fund (MOF) to care for these children. We have expanded into Tanzania and are about to expand into the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We also have worked in the Kurdish Region of Iraq where our executive director, Dr. Wayne Lavender, taught at a university.
