Our mission is to provide compassionate rescue, rehabilitation, foster care, adoption, lifelong sanctuary when needed, and community support for animals in need.

Through education, responsible rescue practices, partnerships, and innovative programs, we strive to improve the lives of animals while helping keep pets with the families who love them whenever possible.

Golden Hearts Senior Dog Sanctuary

Providing lifelong retirement care for senior dogs needing comfort, safety, and unconditional love.

Second Chance Dogs

Helping overlooked dogs receive individualized care while preparing them for successful adoption.

The Kindred Matchmaker Program

A personality-based adoption program focused on creating lifelong matches between people and pets.

Target Audience

Kindred Tails Sanctuary serves vulnerable and underserved cats and dogs in rural Southeast Georgia, with a special focus on senior animals, community cats, medically fragile animals, and those who are unlikely to be helped by traditional shelters. We believe every animal deserves to be known—not just saved—and provide rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, responsible adoption, and lifelong sanctuary based on each animal’s individual needs. Beyond direct animal care, we support our community through TNR initiatives, education, and programs designed to keep pets with their families whenever possible. By serving both animals and the people who care for them, we work to create lasting, humane solutions for our community.
