THE MISSION OF THE COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER IS TO SERVE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES BY OFFERING, OR CONNECTING THEM TO, RESOUCES THAT IMPROVE THEIR LIVES AND ENHANCE THE WELL-BEING OF OUR NEIGHBORS IN THE GREATER MANCHESTER COMMUNITY. THE COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER WAS ORGANIZED IN 1987 TO COORDINATE THE VARIOUS NEEDS OF THE MANCHESTER COMMUNITY WITH SERVICES AND RESOURCES FOR THOSE RECENTLY UNEMPLOYED WHEN A MAJOR PRODUCTION FACILITY CLOSED. THE COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER CONTINUES TO PROVIDE DIRECT ASSISTANCE AS WELL AS REFERRALS TO LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS, ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY FOR THOSE SEEKING PUBLIC BENEFITS, EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION AND OFFERS SPACE TO RESOURCE ADVOCATES BRINGING SPECIALTY SERVICES TO OUR COMMUNITY.
