THE POCANTICO CENTER IS MANAGED BY THE ROCKEFELLER BROTHERS FUND AS PART OF ITS AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION, ENTERED INTO IN 1991, UNDER WHICH THE FUND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RENOVATION, MAINTENANCE, AND OPERATION OF THIS HISTORIC SITE. IT ALSO SERVES AS A COMMUNITY RESOURCE, AND OFFERS PUBLIC ACCESS THROUGH A VISITATION PROGRAM, LECTURES AND CULTURAL EVENTS. IN 2021, DUE TO COVID-19, THE VISITATION PROGRAM CONTINUED TO BE CEASED. DURING 2021, 23 PUBLIC PROGRAMS WERE HELD, INCLUDING 2 FORUM/LECTURE/SYMPOSIUMS, 5 RESIDENCIES, 4 SUMMER PERFORMANCES, 3 SMALL PERFORMANCES, 1 COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM, AND 8 OTHER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. THE PUBLIC PROGRAMS HELD IN 2021 INCLUDE BOTH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL PROGRAMS.
