SOUTH MOUNTAIN COMPANY FOUNDATION WAS CREATED BY SOUTH MOUNTAIN COMPANY TO MAKE CHARITABLE DONATIONS IN A WAY THAT REFLECTS THE VALUES AND INTERESTS OF THE OWNERS AND EMPLOYEES OF SOUTH MOUNTAIN COMPANY. THE FOUNDATION IS ONE ASPECT OF OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY AND TO SOCIAL CHANGE.THE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES THE MAJORITY OF FUNDS TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, WITH A STRONG EMPHASIS ON AFFORDABLE HOUSING, LOCAL FOOD, AND RENEWABLE ENERGY. THE REMAINING FUNDS ARE DISTRIBUTED TO ORGANIZATIONS IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: CONSERVATION and ENVIRONMENT, SCHOOLS and CHILDREN, HEALTH and SOCIAL SERVICES, ARTS and CULTURE, AND GLOBAL POVERTY RELIEF. WE ALSO KEEP A SET-ASIDE FOR EMERGENCY DISASTER RELIEF EFFORTS. 39 GRANTS WERE DISTRIBUTED DURING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR.
