Mario Pedrozzi Scholarship Foundation
To promote equity in opportunity for Marylin Avenue Elementary School (Title I, LVJUSD school) high achieving students in pursuit of their educational goals beyond high school, the Foundation created the Pedrozzi Young Scholars Program. Key elements of the program are enrichment, engagement, exposure and encouragement for the students and their families. The program is designed to help and encourage these students to succeed academically in their middle school and high school years, and to be better prepared for entering a college or vocational training program. Parent and family engagement is a key component of the program. Workshops to help parents understand and engage with the schools are presented throughout the year. The Foundation collaborates with other stakeholders to delivery impactful programs. In partnership with Quest Science Center, program participants worked as interns, participated in community science programs, and/or created a project to be displayed at a regional Inn
