Up to $10,000 to nonprofits and for-profits for community projects that commemorate Canadian veterans. Funding is for events and resources that honor those who served in the Canadian military in times of conflict and peace.
Support for Veterans with Physical Disabilities
Grants to veterans and military service members with physical disabilities for adaptive sports programming. Funding supports veterans with disabilities, both combat and non-combat acquired. This program focuses on rehabilitation through a wide variety of sports.
Initiatives to Benefit the Military and Vets
Grants to nonprofits for initiatives to benefit residents near the funding source’s facilities. Funding is intended to support the military, STEM programming for youth, health, and wellness. Awards to Young Military Dependents
$10,000 awards to military dependents (13 to 18) to recognize accomplishments. Awardees are honored for extracurricular activity, leadership, volunteering, scholarship, and other criteria. Each awardee gets a cash prize, a laptop, other gifts, and a trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, DC for the gala award presentation.
Military Servicemembers, Veterans, and Families
Grants to nonprofits for programs that benefit local residents. Funding is for projects and activities that focus on nutrition and food security; military service members, veterans, and first responders; career training and environment; and Special Olympics and young people.
Standardized Testing and Preparation Course Expenses
Grants to military members and veterans for standardized testing and preparation course expenses. Funding is for current or retired military members and veterans. The purpose is to cover the costs of an examination preparatory course and the exam fees for the CSCS standardized test.
Mortgage-Free Houses to USA Veterans
In-kind grants of specially designed mortgage-free houses to severely injured armed-force veterans to allow them to live independently. Eligible applicants are military service members from the Army, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Navy who have returned from combat with catastrophic injuries.
Business Development Training Program
Opportunity for veterans with disabilities to participate in a business development training program. Successful applicants will participate in the program at no cost, including travel costs and lodging.
