Eligible medical services, therapies, and treatments will be administered by a licensed medical professional. Youth will be no more than 16 years of age at the time of application.

Aid for Farmers with Crop Losses from Disasters

There is financial assistance to agricultural producers to mitigate crop losses due to natural disasters and adverse conditions resulting in low yields, inventory loss, or other circumstances preventing crops from being planted. Assistance will be for commercially produced crops for which insurance is not available.

Financial Aid to Service Members and Veterans

Also, grants to military service members and veterans for financial assistance to address urgent needs. The funding is for active duty and deployed service members, as well as wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans.

Pet Care Assistance for Individuals in Domestic Violence Shelters

Financial assistance to individuals for pet housing and veterinary care while the owner resides in a domestic abuse shelter. Costs associated with boarding, such as necessary vaccinations, will be covered. The purpose of the program is to enable victims of domestic violence to escape abuse without needing to leave their pets behind.

Financial Support Grants for Families of Children with Cancer

There are grants to families of children with cancer for financial support. The funding will offset financial challenges facing families as a direct result of their child’s illness and treatment. Eligible expenses include travel costs for treatments, mortgage payments/rent, and prescription medications not covered by insurance.

Bereavement and Hardship Assistance for Fallen First Responder Families

In addition, grants of $5,000 to bereaved families of fallen first responders. The funding will provide financial assistance to families after the loss of a loved one. First responders include police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters.

Funding Aid for EOD Bomb Disposal Experts and Families

Grants to Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) bomb experts and their families for financial assistance. The funding will provide assistance to pay for current needs, such as travel expenses, childcare, debt relief, special equipment necessary for on-the-job purposes, injuries, and training retreats.

Financial Aid for Low-Income Individuals with ALS

There are grants of up to $15,000 to low-income individuals to cover costs to treat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as ‘Lou Gehrig’s Disease.’ The funding will be for costs associated with insurance premiums and co-pays to obtain prescription drugs to treat and manage the disease. Household income will not be more than 500% above the Federal Poverty Level.

Grants for Home Care Services for Low-Income Cancer Patients

Lastly, grants of up to $2,000 to qualifying low-income cancer patients to cover costs for home care services. The funding will be for copays for medical equipment purchases and home healthcare services. Household income for eligible applicants will be no more than 500% above the Federal Poverty Level.
