Here Are the Top STEM Grants Available in 2023

Chances are if you are somewhat familiar with the education world you have heard of the term STEM. The acronym, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, has become increasingly popular amongst schools, nonprofits, governments, and businesses. Many organizations recognize the importance of furthering STEM skills, which is why there are new programs being created every day to help develop and teach these skills. These four areas of study are an integral part of our daily lives and need the proper funding to grow and evolve. Presently, there are many jobs that require a STEM background. This is why resources need to exist to make sure today’s youth have access to quality STEM education.

  3. Funding is available to robotics teams associated with schools or nonprofits in eligible areas to participate in youth STEM contests.
  4. Grants are also available to teachers of grades 6-9 to support participation in a STEM competition with their students.
  5. There are also grants of up to $30,000 to IHEs for activities to expand and enhance STEM curriculum. 
  6. Additionally, funding is available to minority-serving IHEs to support STEM research and education among minority groups historically underrepresented in STEM disciplines.
  7. Grants of up to $20,000 exist for women to pursue advanced degrees and courses of study including STEM.
  8. Fellowships are available to students to support graduate studies in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
  9. Additional grants are available to nonprofits, IHEs, tribal governments, and others for research and development activities to enhance STEM education.
  10. Lastly, grants are open to public schools, private schools, charter schools, and rural schools in multiple states to implement STEM programs
