‘Tis the Season to Strengthen Your Community with Faith-Based Grants

Faith-based grants give nonprofits a valuable way to support programs that align with their mission. They also play a key role in advancing social initiatives and strengthening humanitarian efforts within communities.

Grants to nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and government agencies for activities benefiting communities across a broad range of focus areas. The funding supports programs that focus on arts, culture, and humanities; education; the environment, health and medical; human services; and public/societal benefits.

4. Prizes to Authors of Works About Catholicism

Prizes to authors of works about Catholicism. The purpose of the awards program is to recognize and promote the works of scholars in vernacular Catholicism. Eligible nominated works should be interdisciplinary, with a focus on the religious life of each individual as well as verbal, customary, and/or material expressions of religious believers.

5. Grants for Services Supporting Holocaust Survivors

There are grants to organizations to provide services for elderly Holocaust survivors. The funding is for a range of services, including socialization programs, emergency assistance, health and medical services, transportation, food programs, case management, and homecare and housekeeping services.

6. Funds for Activities to Improve Daily Lives

Grants to nonprofit and faith-based organizations for activities to improve the lives of local residents. Successful proposals will be for initiatives in one of the focus areas of education, family values, and medical research. The purpose of the funding is to enhance day-to-day living conditions for residents.

7. Financial Assistance for Relocation Expenses to Israel

Financial assistance to Jewish individuals to offset expenses associated with relocating to Israel. This financial help is for individuals and families in need of assistance with travel expenses or shipping costs to transport household belongings to Israel. 8. In-Kind Promotional Materials Religious Groups

There are in-kind donations of promotional products to nonprofit and faith-based organizations, registered charities, and schools. Promotional materials will be used to acknowledge and thank donors, attract volunteers, and promote an applicant’s cause or activity.

9. Grants for Overnight Jewish Summer Camp Experience

Grants to individuals for children to attend an overnight Jewish summer camp. The funding provides an outreach opportunity for children who have not previously participated in a daily Jewish activity. The goal is to provide children with their first overnight Jewish summer camp experience.

10. Funds for Anti-Hunger Advocacy

Up to $15,000 to faith-based organizations for anti-hunger advocacy activities. The funding is for unanticipated programs, events, and opportunities to promote an anti-hunger agenda. Priority consideration will be for programs addressing hunger for military families, veterans, Native Americans, single mothers, and LGBTQ+ older adults.

11. Grants to Address Barriers to Cancer Treatment

Grants to faith-based organizations to address barriers to cancer treatments of underrepresented communities. The goals are to reduce cancer risk, incidence, morbidity, and mortality and enhance the quality of life in cancer survivors. In addition, it also backs research on interventions and strategies to spread findings across communities.

12. Grant Funding for Community Benefits

Grant funding to faith-based organizations and eligible groups for community benefit projects. The funding is for initiatives for education, health care, crisis management, and support for veterans. Eligible projects and activities are those that impact the general community and not focus on any single group.
