Scholarships are for vocational training in one of the following industries: transportation, technology, construction, communications, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, and public service.

5. Programs to Help Individuals Get Employed in the Food Industry

Up to $10,000 to nonprofits for programs to help individuals gain employment in the food industry. The funding helps expand existing programs, improve facilities, enhance teaching methods, improve employer partnerships, and add certifications. The Foundation supports creating pathways to success through culinary professionalism and technique.

6. Grants for Tech Education Programs

Grants to nonprofit and for-profit organizations, IHEs, and Tribal Nations for technical education programs. The program produces more qualified technical workers to meet workforce demands. The areas of technology include agricultural, engineering, and micro- and nano-technologies.

7. Scholars to Attend a Professional Conference

$1,000 awards to attend professional conference supporting instruction in college-level writing. The funding encourages the professional development of first-time presenters from historically underrepresented groups. The goal is to acknowledge and encourage originality of research, significance of pedagogical or theoretical contributions to the field, and potential for larger projects.

8. Small Businesses to Promote Growth and Development

$5,000 to small businesses to enhance their impact within their communities through job creation, introduction of innovative products, and by improving access to essential services. This is especially true for businesses that are making an impact in communities of color and/or underrepresented communities.

9. Youth and Veterans with Disabilities Career Development

Grants to nonprofits for projects to benefit youth, young adults, and veterans with disabilities. Projects assist individuals with disabilities to acquire the skills necessary for successful career development. Projects should create tools to break down barriers to employment and increase job opportunities for young people and veterans with disabilities seeking to enter the workforce.

10. K-12 Educators to Enhance STEM Education Nationwide

Fellowships to K-12 educators to advance the professional development of K-12 STEM teachers while also enhancing STEM education nationwide. Selected fellows apply their classroom experience and knowledge to national education policy and programming during the eleven-month fellowship.

11. Promote Opportunities for Black Youth and Young Adults

Grants to nonprofits to promote economic opportunities for Black youth and young adults. The funding is for capacity-building and program support. Applicants should provide mentorship, professional coaching, skills training, and pipeline development to foster employment and career advancement for Black youth ages 14-24.

12. Postdoctoral Fellow Neuroscience Professional Development

Grants to PhD students and early-career postdoctoral fellows for professional development activities within the field of neuroscience. The funding offsets the costs of course attendance, course fees, lodging, and travel to participate in neuroscience training. Priority consideration will be for applicants from underrepresented or under-resourced backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on promoting gender and regional diversity.
