Grants awarded up to $7,500 to support the building of business enterprises and entrepeneurship in the nonprofit sector. Nonprofits serving Palm Beach and/or Martin County are eligible to receive support for one or more of the following functions: Collaborative efforts strategic to minimizing cost and duplication or that expand services w/greater efficiency; Consolidation of shared back office services; Consolidation of services among multiple agencies; Matching/challenge grants to leverage additional funds; Merger and/or acquisition processes to join forces toward a single mission; and other innovative, business practice improvements which specifically address streamlined operations.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations serving Palm Beach and/or Martin County are eligible to receive one Leading Edge Grant per year (12-month period).

Pre-Application Information:

Organizations interested in applying for a Leading Edge Grant will submit a brief statement (250 words or less) regarding the proposed endeavor. If the request meets the review criteria, the organization and its partners will be asked to submit detailed information including operating documents, the suitability of the organization, its partners (and related agreements), and budget detail.

The invitation to submit additional information does not guarantee funding. A limited number of grants are available. These guidelines and criteria are subject to change. Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to contact Jillian Vukusich, Director of Community Investment, or Daryl Houston, Community Investment Officer, prior to applying.
