Grant totaling $950,000 for an agency to help reduce and eliminate the use of tobacco. Funding is provided for a company to create counter-marketing materials against influential promotion of tobacco use by large tobacco companies. The material will aim to diminish the initiation and continuous use of tobacco.
Tobacco counter-marketing mainly focuses on using commercial marketing tactics to influence a reduction in tobacco usage. Along with anti-tobacco messaging the counter argument will also focus on pro-health messages and influences.

Private provider organizations (defined as nonstate entities that are either nonprofit or proprietary corporations or partnerships), CT State agencies, and municipalities are eligible to submit proposals in response to this RFP.
