Public emergency responder agencies can apply for grants to purchase dogs, dog safety vests, and other related needs. The grantor is seeking to combine a love of animals with concern for the men and women who protect our communities. As such, this funding opportunity will exclusively benefit police and fire department K-9 units. Agencies must be tax-exempt or receive support from a 501(c)3 exempt organization to apply for funding.

Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
* Thoroughness of presentation and inclusion of all requested materials;
* Project readiness;
* Demonstrated need;
* Proven sustainability;
* Level of proposed impact.
