Spring 2012 ArtNight Minigrant
Grants for Arts and Culture in California
The Arts & Culture Commission
01/24/12 5:00 PM
Grants are available for non-profit arts organizations as well as individual artists and galleries, to enable them to participate in a evening program. The goal of the funding is to provide financial support to these groups to enable them to cover the cost incurred by registering and participating in this evening.
ArtNight Pasadena, sponsored by the City of Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission and the Division of Cultural Affairs, is an ongoing partnership among local cultural institutions and the City of Pasadena. Each year, many of the City’s non-profit art and cultural institutions open for an evening, free-of-charge to provide a rich sampling of art, culture and music to the public. The primary purpose of ArtNight is audience development; introducing audiences to and building membership for Pasadena’s varied art and culture facilities.
To reflect the rich diversity of the City, the Arts & Culture Commission is seeking individual artists and organizations of all sizes and disciplines to participate in ArtNight. Mini-Grants of $500 each are offered to: smaller Pasadena-based arts and culture organizations, other art and culture organizations without facilities, independent non-commercial galleries, ensembles and individual artists who live, work or lease property in Pasadena, to offset the cost of participating in the Spring ArtNight event. The event is scheduled for March 9, 2012, 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
• Mini-Grants recipients must promote their own events through all means possible, including flyers, press releases and websites.
• Mini-Grants recipients must credit the City of Pasadena, Arts & Culture Commission in all publicity materials.
• Mini-Grants recipients must cross-promote publicity with their host partners.
Courtesy of Cultural Affairs all MiniGrant recipients will be:
• featured on the ArtNight and Cultural Affairs websites
