Non-profit, charitable organizations operating in Alaska are eligible to apply for funding for programs and projects that enhance community living and support education. Areas of focus include health and social services, youth programs, arts and culture, and civic-based activities. The Foundation seeks to help preserve Alaska's uniqueness by supporting its heritage, and funds the efforts of over eighty organizations annually.

Priority will be given to projects that:

* demonstrate a widespread community benefit
* demonstrate operating credibility
* add value to areas surrounding the Fairbanks and Healy communities
* have a significant show of volunteer support from Usibelli employees and their families
* received a previous grant from The Usibelli Foundation. The Usibelli Foundation recognizes that budgetary stability is important to non-profit organizations dependent upon raising operating funds annually from public sources
