Grants of up to $70,000 to Greensboro, North Carolina nonprofits for innovative programs that support local women and foster their economic independence and self-sufficiency. Applicants must submit a letter of intent before applying. Priority will be given to organizations that are working on collaboration and the alignment of services.

LOIs may propose projects to address economic independence for women and their families, including projects that:
- Support women working to achieve self-sufficiency in all areas of their lives
- Provide operating support to organizations working to create systemic change for women
- Assist women in building their capacity to increase income, preparedness for the workplace, and provide stability for their families
- Promote awareness of issues affecting women and their families as it relates to economic independence

Organizations may also request “planning grants” or grants to support the implementation of innovative programs that address women’s issues in the community and inform the selection of future grantmaking topics.

Grants will be considered for all amounts up to $70,000.

Local nonprofit organizations serving women and their families in Greensboro, North Carolina, may apply.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Applicants are invited to participate in an Information Session on April 11 (9:00 - 10:00 AM) at Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, 330 S. Greene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, 336.379.9100. Attendees will receive additional information and will be encouraged to discuss ideas for collaboration with fellow participants.

Pre-Application Information:

LOIs are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, May 10, 2019. Please submit LOIs via the online application portal.

Letters of Intent will be reviewed, and in June, those organization(s) with selected proposals will be asked to submit a full grant application for review and a site visit. Full proposals will be due by 11:59 PM July 29, 2019. Those organizations not selected to submit a full proposal will be notified in June. Final grant decisions will be made in September 2019.
