Grants for up to $50,000 to support grassroots organizations addressing community needs in California. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support dynamic leaders of new social-benefit ventures. Grants are unrestricted, and can be used for general operating support, salaries, technical assistance, equipment purchase, or whatever else the organization deems necessary for its development. The Foundation will pair each grant recipient with a seasoned nonprofit professional who will provide advice and assistance throughout the two-year grant period.

The goals of the program are:
To boost young, dynamic organizations that are tackling complex challenges with innovative solutions so that they can advance to the next stage in their organizational development.
To link the grassroots, emerging leaders of Springboard organizations with seasoned nonprofit leaders who can guide their organizational path.
