Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded to pediatric residents to address the needs of children in their communities. These grant funds are intended to support pediatric residents in the planning and/or implementation of community-based child health initiatives that increase children's access to medical homes or to health services not otherwise available. The Organization is also seeking to fund innovative community-based projects to improve access to immunizations for children who are most likely to experience barriers to immunization.

Not funded:
Statewide or regional state projects
Supplemental funding for existing programs or grants
Research projects not associated with a community-based projects and community partnerships
Pediatrician or pediatric resident training or education
Physician or dentist salaries, fees, stipends, or honoraria
Internal enhancement of practice or clinic
Health fairs or 1-day events, such as fitness runs or staffing booths at community events
Literature reviews
Speaker fees or speaker travel reimbursement
Conference registration fees or support
Educational materials for residents or medical students

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

-Pediatric resident in the United States or its territories
-Residents who are in their 1st or 2nd year of residency on the application submission due date are eligible to apply; 3rd-year residents may apply if they will be chief resident in their 4th year. PGY-3 residents are eligible to apply as co-applicants.

Ineligible:
Organizations, institutions, or individuals other than pediatricians
