Grants to Michigan, Arizona and California nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for educational, environmental, and safety-oriented programs that contribute to the diverse local communities. Eligible regions include Gardena, California, Maricopa County, Arizona, and Washtenaw County, Michigan. Programs with other focus areas will also be considered, specifically leadership development, health and human services, civic and community, and arts and culture.

Toyota will not make grants to the following types of organizations:
- Organizations not recognized as 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service
- Those that practice discrimination by race, creed, color, sex, age, or national origin
- Those that serve only their own memberships, such as fraternal organizations, labor organizations, or religious groups
- Political parties or candidates
- Athletic/sports games and teams
TTC does not make grants for publications, lobbying activities, advertising, capital campaigns or endowments. Individuals are ineligible to apply.
Deadlines for 2017/2018
Apply by March 1st, Notification in May.
Apply by June 1st, Notification in August.
Apply by September 1st, Notification in November.
Apply by December 1st, 2017, Notification in February, 2018.
It can take up to 6 months to review and evaluate a proposal. Please do not contact Toyota by phone or by email to ask about the status of your application. Due to the volume of inquiries, Toyota cannot respond individually to requests for status.
Toyota will advise you by email if your proposal has been approved or declined. If your application is approved, Toyota will follow up with your organization. Due to the volume of inquiries, Toyota cannot respond individually to those not selected for further consideration.
