Grants to USA nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for programs that foster respect and understanding among ethnic and cultural groups. Funding is intended to enhance communities by supporting programs that value cultural diversity. Eligible applicants must serve communities surrounding Nissan's affiliate locations, including Southern California; Middle Tennessee; Central Mississippi; Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; New York; and Atlanta, Georgia.

All projects must meet the following criteria:

  • Reflect the mission and core values of the Foundation
  • Demonstrate creative and replicable solutions
  • Establish clear methodology for measuring results

Grants generally range from $10,000 to $50,000

Term of Contract:

The Nissan Foundation awards 1-year grants.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

All organizations applying for grants through the Nissan Foundation must meet the following requirements:
- Have 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
- Demonstrate experience with populations served
- Have been in existence for more than three years
- Serve communities surrounding Nissan's affiliate locations

Pre-Application Information:

The Nissan Foundation is accepting Letters of Intent for the 2022 grant cycle, with a submission deadline of 5:00 PM EST on Monday, November 1. Nissan Foundation grants are awarded annually; the next grants will be awarded in June 2022.
