Grants of up to $10,000 to Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Arkansas nonprofit organizations and agencies operating youth softball or baseball programs for capital improvement projects. Funding is intended for the renovation and improvement of baseball and/or softball fields used primarily for youth.
Major renovations will include the upgrading of essential baseball field components including:

Additional Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to any independent Midwest, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization or local government unit that operates a youth baseball and/or softball program in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, or Arkansas.
Items that do not qualify are:
- Lights
- Bleachers/grandstands
- Restrooms
- Scoreboards
- Routine maintenance
- Equipment
Pre-Application Information
Qualifying organizations must submit an application and required documents to the Royals Charities Board of Directors. Applications will be accepted and reviewed throughout the year. Grant approval will be determined by the Board of Directors.
Please submit your grant application by Friday, September 30, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. CT. Grant recipients will be notified on the status of your grant no later than Friday, December 9, 2022.
Once the application is received and reviewed, Royals Charities may call to schedule a site visit.
Organizations must prove that they have secured funding (monetary and/or in-kind support) in order to receive matching funds.
Estimated Size of Grant
The average matching grant awarded is $5,000 to $10,000.
